The Livingston County Sheriff's Office says an investigation into a single-vehicle wreck has yielded a drug arrest.
40-year-old Jonathan Prebe, of Edina Missouri, is charged with second-degree meth trafficking. Prebe claims to have fallen asleep before crashing a pick-up on 36 Highway on March 31st. That morning, instead of staying at the scene, Prebe fled before authorities arrived.
The vehicle was towed and days later, when attempting to retrieve the vehicle, Prebe tossed an item when he spotted a sheriff's deputy at the tow company. That discarded item was found to contain meth, marijuana and syringes. Prebe is on a $50,000 bond in the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
